The Wisconsin Coroners and Medical Examiners Association is working with lawmakers to make certain revisions and updates to Wisconsin State Statute 979, the Death Investigation Statute.  The Legislative committee and Chairperson Scott Rifleman have spent countless hours in moving this important legislation forward.  The Assembly Bill, AB-783 and it's Senate counterpart SB-428 are currently awaiting legislative action.  For more information members can log into the members only area and click on legislative issues.
